Nyima Tashi
Nyima Tashi was born in Kham Drakgo. He is the main tour operator of Kham Voyage Travel Agency. He majored in Tibetan and English at the ETP (English Training Program) of Qinghai Normal University, and studied Eco-tourism in the USA through Columbia University. He also obtained Chinese national tour guide license in 2008. Since then, he’s been working in tourism, focusing mostly on guiding tourists across Tibetan plateau, especially in Kham, East Tibet.
Eight years of guiding and operational experience in the greater Tibet, and his home area knowledge, were great assets in designing the Kham Voyage program. His skill and regional expertise will provide you with an unforgettable experience.
Tinle Gonbo
Tinle Gonbo was born in Kham Drakgo, too. He is the lead tour guide for Kham Voyage Travel Agency. He also majored in Tibetan and English languages in ETP (English Training Program), Qinghai Normal University. He works as a tour guide across Tibetan plateau, especially in Kham and Amdo. With his excellent linguistic skills and profound knowledge of Tibetan culture, make every tour meaningful. One great advantage of travelling with him is that you will get a chance to meet his Tibetan friends and relative in Kham and Amdo, an opportunity that will expose you to authenticate Tibetan culture.
Kush
Kush was born in one of the most remote nomadic places of eastern part of Tibet, but unlike most kids from his hometown, he received good educational opportunities, and found many passions and dreams to pursue. His strong interest in photography and film lead him to work in the tourist industry as a guide. He loves that this has given him a chance to travel to different places and meet people from wide ranges of cultural backgrounds. Having now acquired many years’ experience, Kush is now one of the best Tibetan tour guides. With his strong knowledge of, and passion for, local culture, history, geography, and serving his guests, he is a well-respected favorite. He continues to explore his passion for photographing and filming, and remains especially interested in capturing beautiful images of the natural environment, and cultural expression. Kush is rich in local cultural knowledge, and he always looks forward meeting different people to further enrich his knowledge.
Kunckok Dhondup
Kunckok Dhondup was born in Kham Dege, East Tibet, where the most famous printing house of Tibet is located. He is a guide for Kham Voyage Travel Agency. He studied in India, graduating from Arts Steam high school. After that, he returned to Tibet and continued schooling in Sichuan Tibetan School in Kangding for three years. He pursued a two-year program in Southwest Nationalities University in China. He is a local tour guide with more than three-years of experience in travelling and guiding guests throughout Kham, East Tibet. He possesses a great passion for helping others, and so also works as a local manager of Labdrakhampa NGO, which offers financial support to poor students.
Palchen
Palchen is from Kham Tagong, where the famous Jowo Shakyamuni temple is located. With his education as a Buddhist, and profound knowledge of Tibetan culture, he has been a typical, local, Khampa nomad. Growing up, he wandered every corner of the nearby mountains. He started taking treks around his region at a young age, and discovered at deep interest in the varied aspects of Tibetan culture. Now, over twenty years later, his experience means there is no better choice of a trekking guide for the Tagong area.
